Resumes for the Position of Police Officer
The Cedar Grove Police Department will be accepting resumes from persons interested in interviewing for the position of police officer beginning Monday, February 25, 2013. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and upon appointment must have successfully completed the Basic Course for Police Officers as administered by a NJ Police Training Commission Certified Police Academy and be eligible for PTC Certification. In addition, applicants must have at least 60 college credits from an accredited institution; or 30 college credits and 2 years U.S. Military with an Honorable Discharge or at least 30 college credits and 2 years police experience with a New Jersey Police Department. All applicants must be capable of acceptance into the NJ Police & Fireman’s Retirement System. Resumes should be submitted to the attention of Township Manager Thomas Tucci at 525 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 by Friday, March 15, 2013.
