Cedar Grove Police Collecting Care Packages for

United States Military Personnel Serving Overseas

The Cedar Grove Police Department will once again be collecting donations for care packages to send to our troops serving overseas this Holiday Season.  Thanks to the generosity of our residents, last year’s drive was a great success and we were able to send care packages to many of our soldiers away from their families during the Holidays.  Examples of items being sought include personal items such as toothbrushes, travel size toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, mouthwash or body wash.  Baby wipes, hand or foot warmers, digital or disposable cameras, multi-tool or good folding knife, disposable razors and shaving cream.  Snack items such as Pringles, fruit snacks, gum, hard candy and beef jerky. Miscellaneous items such as comic books, playing cards, crossword puzzles, suntan lotion and sun glasses.  A copy of the complete list is available at the police desk.  Any person wishing to donate items can leave donations in the collection bin located in the Cedar Grove Municipal Building Lobby.  We will be collecting items until Christmas.  Please help us say thank you to our troops by sending them a little piece of home.  Anyone having questions can call Lt. Erik Hansson or Sgt. Eileen O’Toole at 973-239-4100.
