Police Seeking Suspect Wanted in Connection with Installation of
Skimming Device on Columbia Bank ATM

Date:  June 22, 2015

On Saturday, June 20, 2015, a skimming device and camera were discovered attached to the outdoor ATM machine at the Columbia Bank on Pompton Avenue.  Investigation revealed the suspect responsible for installing the devices arrived at the bank at 3:52 p.m. and first installed a wireless camera to the top of the ATM and then installed a skimming device over the traditional debit card input port.  The suspect’s actions apparently triggered the ATM’s internal alarm, resulting in the bank manager’s response and discovery of the devices.  At this time it does not appear the suspect obtained any customer information.  Police are seeking to identity the pictured suspect and ask anyone with information to contact detectives at 973-239-4100.
