            On January 7, 2018 at 1:30 p.m., Sgt. Jose Rodriguez and Ptl. Joseph Russomanno investigated a report of narcotics activity. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 56 year old male from Passaic for possession of heroin. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On January 7, 2018 at 4:32 p.m., Ptl. John Smigelsky responded to the Nicholas Markets Foodtown on a report of a shoplifting. The actor, a 47 year old female from Bloomfield, was arrested after it was determined that she had concealed more than $200 in merchandise in her jacket before leaving the store. She was processed and transported the Essex County Jail for a warrant on unrelated charges.
 
            On January 9, 2018 at 11:10 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 35 year old male operator from East Orange for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On January 10, 2018 at 2:05 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch was patrolling the commercial businesses along Commerce Road when he observed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 62 year old male from Iselin for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On January 10, 2018 at 4:57 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 28 year old male operator from Brooklyn, N.Y. for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On January 11, 2018 at 12:01 p.m., Police and Fire Department responded to Del Monico Steak and Beyond Restaurant on a report of a fire on the exterior of the building. The fire was extinguished by the employees. An investigation revealed that an electrical circuit, overloaded with extension cords, started the fire which spread to decorative ivy attached to the exterior of the building. The building was not damaged and the business remained open.
 
            On January 12, 2018 at 4:50 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 23 year old male driver out of Winterville, N.C. for an outstanding warrant from Irvington. He was turned over to Irvington Police.
 
            On January 13, 2018 at 12:03 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 29 year old male operator from Edison for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
On January 13, 2018 at 1:23 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an expired inspection decal. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 29 year old female operator from Wayne for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On January 14, 2018 at 9:50 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 34 year old male operator from Cedar Grove for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On January 14, 2018 at 4:50 p.m., Sgt. Jason Wolfstirn stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male operator from Mamaroneck, N.Y. for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On January 16, 2018 at 8:01a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Ridge Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old female operator from Kearny for possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 16, 2018 at 11:04p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle for failing to keep right on Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 20 year old male driver from Morris Plains and an 18 year old male passenger from Parsippany for possession of CDS. Both were processed and released with summonses to appear in court.
 
On January 17, 2018 at 3:06 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle on Ridge Road with a fraudulent inspection decal. A subsequent investigation revealed that the operator, a 21 year old male from Lyndhurst, was driving with a suspended license. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 18, 2018 at 11:09 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle being operated with a suspended registration. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 22 year old male operator from New York, N.Y. for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On January 22, 2018 at 12:57 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella investigated a suspicious male walking along Pine Drive. The investigation revealed that the 28 year old male from Bensalem, Pennsylvania was in possession of marijuana. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 22, 2018 at 4:36 p.m., Cedar Grove Police Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress at Foodtown. The store manager provided a description of the actor who was detained by the officers as he exited the store. Kipchoge Washington, a 47 year old male from Newark, was placed under arrest for shoplifting. He was processed at police headquarters and transported to the Essex County Jail pending his appearance in court. Patrolman Anthony Grigolo was the arresting officer.
 
On January 22, 2018 at 9:36 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 30 year old male from Maplewood for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 26, 2018 at 10:18 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield and an expired registration. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 47 year old female driver from Georgia, Vermont for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 27, 2018 at 1:01 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 22 year old female driver from Mississippi for possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
