On January 1, 2019 at 8:51 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle with inoperable license plate lamps. It was then determined that the operator, a 27 year old male from Passaic, was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 2, 2019 at 6:13 p.m., officers responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in front of the Pilgrim Diner. During the investigation it was determined that the driver of the involved vehicle, a 70 year old male from West Orange, had a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court. The pedestrian was hospitalized with serious but not life threatening injuries. 
 
On January 3, 2019 at 8:39 a.m., Ptl. Alan Rock stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that vehicle had a suspended registration. It was then determined that the vehicle was uninsured and that the operator, a 34 year old female from Paterson, was driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded. The operator was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 3, 2019 at 12:13 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the operator, a 37 year old male from Pittstown, had a suspended license. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 4, 2019 officers investigated two separate burglaries to vehicles parked in driveways on Eileen Drive. In both instances the vehicles had been left unlocked. Surveillance video was obtained and the incident remains under investigation.
 
On January 4, 2019 Ptl. Anthony Grigolo stopped a vehicle with inoperable headlamps on Pompton Avenue. It was determined that the operator, a 40 year old female from Clifton, was driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded for being unregistered and uninsured. The driver was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 3, 2019 at 12:13 p.m., Sgt. Jose Rodriguez stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the vehicle had a suspended registration. The operator, a 28 year old male from Montclair, had a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded for being unregistered and uninsured. The driver was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On January 11, 2019 at 4:17 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp and no signs on a commercially registered vehicle. It was determined that the 70 year old male operator from Newark was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with numerous traffic summonses.
 
On January 12, 2019 at 10:41 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 36 year old male driver from East Rutherford for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 13, 2019 at 4:19 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check on his MDT revealed that the registration was expired. It was determined that the 61 year old male operator from Irvington was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with numerous traffic summonses.

On January 16, 2019 at 9:02 a.m., Ptl. Alan Rock stopped a vehicle after a random plate check revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The 38 year old female driver from Lodi was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 16, 2019 at 8:43 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle after observing an object hanging from the rear view mirror that obstructed the drivers view. It was then determined that the 33 year old female driver from Montclair had a suspended license. She was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 16, 2019 at 11:50 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra investigated a suspicious vehicle parked at a Pompton Avenue business. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the both of the adult occupants from West Orange for possession of marijuana. They were processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 18, 2019 at 10:22 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle with an inoperable center brake lamp. I was then determined that the 24 year old male driver from Montclair had a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 19, 2019 at 2:35 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle with inoperable license plate lamps. I was then determined that the 23 year old male driver from Cedar Grove was in possession of marijuana. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On January 19, 2019 Ptl. Joseph Ligas investigated a report of a fraud committed against a resident. The resident received a fraudulent email from a person pretending to be a clergy member from Saint Catherine of Siena Church. The email requested that he purchase $900 in eBay gift cards to be given to new parishioners. The victim purchased the cards and provided the card numbers to the suspect defrauding the victim of the $900. The incident is under investigation.
 
On January 20, 2019 at 7:33 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle for delaying traffic and failing to keep right. It was then determined that the 65 year old male driver from Newark had a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
