On February 25, 2019 at 7:19 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of all three of the vehicle occupants. A 20 year old female from Newark, an 18 year old male from Millburn, and a 23 year old male from Irvington were charged with possession of marijuana. The driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license and had numerous outstanding traffic warrants. He was turned over to Irvington Police. The passengers were released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 26, 2019 at 3:22 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo stopped a vehicle for failing to maintain a lane. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 48 year old female operator from Hackettstown for driving while intoxicated. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 26, 2019 at 11:36 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was determined that the 26 year old male operator from Caldwell was driving while intoxicated. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 27, 2019 at 9:37 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for displaying an expired inspection decal. The driver, a 26 year old male from Cliffside Park, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.   
 
On February 27, 2019 at 3:55 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Commerce Road and Little Falls Road for an improper turn. When the officer approached the vehicle the operator accelerated away. The officer engaged in a vehicle pursuit into the Township of Little Falls. The three occupants ran from the vehicle and entered the ShopRite food store on Browertown Road. All three were apprehended while attempting to hide inside the store. Multiple police agencies including Little Falls Police, Woodland Park Police and a Passaic County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit assisted in the arrest.
 
On March 1, 2019 at 9:37 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle for displaying an expired inspection decal. The driver, a 34 year old male from Newark, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
On March 1, 2019 at 3:50 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for speeding on Brunswick Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male from Willingboro for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 1, 2019 at 11:53 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo and Ptl. Alan Rock investigated a hit and run motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Stevens Avenue and East Lindsley Road. One vehicles had fled the scene and was located a short time later on Haller Drive. During the investigation it was determined that the 52 year old operator from Cedar Grove was driving while intoxicated. He was arrest, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 2, 2019 at 9:37 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an improper turn. The driver, a 64 year old male from Newark, was arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
On March 3, 2019 at 3:22 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 34 year old male operator from Sayreville for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On March 11, 2019 at 5:31 p.m., Ptl. Nicole Witel stopped a vehicle that did not have an inspection sticker displayed in the windshield. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 33 year old male operator from Montclair for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 12, 2019 at 8:24 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker displayed in the windshield. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 27 year old male operator from Cedar Grove for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 12, 2019 at 1:36 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle with tinted windows. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 26 year old female operator from Jersey City for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 13, 2019 at 7:17 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 31 year old male from East Orange for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 14, 2019 at 1:57 a.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 24 year old male from Orange for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 14, 2019 at 7:56 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped an individual for jaywalking along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of a 55 year old male from Newark for possession of heroin and an outstanding warrant. He was processed and transported to the Essex County Jail.
 
On March 15, 2019 at 1:16 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 31 year old male driver from Little Falls for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 15, 2019 at 5:56 p.m., police and fire personnel responded to Lombardi’s Restaurant after a fire sprinkler activated in the kitchen area. The fire department was able to stop the flow of water and confirmed that there was no fire at the restaurant. The business was briefly closed while repairs were made to the fire sprinkler system.
 
On March 17, 2019 at 12:10 a.m., Ptl. Alan Rock stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The operator, a 25 year old female from Verona, was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 17, 2019 at 3:26 p.m., Ptl. Nicole Witel stopped a vehicle for speeding on Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 23 year old male operator from Newark for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
