On February 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., Ptl. Kristian Schneider investigated a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle parked in the Santander Bank parking lot. An unknown actor broke the windows and lamps on the vehicle. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau. 
 
On February 24, 2020 at 10:24 p.m., Ptl. Alan Rock investigated a report of a suspicious person in the Cedar Grove Garden Apartments. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 23 year old male from Verona for possession of CDS and public urination. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
On February 25, 2020 at 3:42 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo stopped a vehicle for failure to maintain a lane. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 25 year old driver from Newark for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 25, 2020 at 10:43 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle that failed to observe a traffic signal. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male driver from Union City for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 25, 2020 at 11:29 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle displaying dark tinted windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old female driver from East Orange for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers investigated a theft of waste oil from the Burger King Restaurant. A cutting tool was used to gain access to the container. Surveillance images were obtained and the incident is under investigation.
 
On February 26, 2020 at 7:43 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 36 year old female driver from Union City for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 29, 2020 at 11:53 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male driver from Newark for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On February 29, 2020 at 2:33 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle displaying an expired temporary registration tag. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 21 year old male driver from Paterson and a 20 year old male from Little Falls for possession of CDS. Both were charged and released with a summons to appear in court.

On March 2, 2020 at 9:21 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle after observing an object hanging from the rear view mirror obstructing the driver’s view. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 30 year old male driver from Harrison for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 3, 2020 at 5:42 p.m., Ptl. Dominic Buscio stopped a vehicle displaying an unreadable license plate on a trailer. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 27 year old driver from Orange for driving with a suspended license. Additionally the vehicle he was operating, and the trailer he was towing was determined to be unregistered and was impounded. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 5, 2020 at 7:29 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old male driver from West Orange for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 5, 2020 at 7:39 p.m., Ptl. Alan Rock stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 33 year old male driver from Bayonne for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 6, 2020 at 8:39 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle with an expired inspection decal. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 48 year old female driver from Bloomfield for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 6, 2020 at 2:25 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella investigated a report of an unconscious male in a vehicle. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 64 year old male driver from Cedar Grove for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 7, 2020 at 8:39 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle displaying a fraudulent inspection decal. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 66 year old male driver from West Orange for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On March 8, 2020 at 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the Grasshopper Bar on a report of an assault. Officers found a 30 year old male with a large laceration to his head. A subsequent investigation revealed that a female patron, who left prior to police arrival, had thrown a glass striking him in the head. The victim was transported to the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
 
On March 8, 2020 at 3:23 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for failure to signal a lane change. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 47 year old driver for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
