            On April 4, 2018 at 1:43 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a handheld cell phone while driving. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 44 year old female driver from Belleville for possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 6, 2018 at 3:02 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle being operated with tinted front windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 39 year old male driver from North Haledon. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court. Upon his release he was arrested a short time later by Ptl. Dominick Buscio for again operating his vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 8, 2018 at 9:59 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Ridge Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 28 year old male operator from Garfield for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On April 9, 2018 at 7:50 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers responded to a Cedar Street address to take a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle was stolen from the driveway during the overnight hours. Patrolman Rivers was able to locate the vehicle using an application installed by the dealer on the owner’s phone. Detectives responded to that area in Newark and recovered the victim’s vehicle.
 
On April 9, 2018 at 1:04 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers was investigating a report of a stolen vehicle that was tracked to a Ridge Road address via GPS. Patrolman Rivers located a vehicle matching the description and encountered a male removing items from a residence. The suspect fled the officer and was apprehended with the assistance of additional officers. Police officers from Little Falls and Verona also assisted with the apprehension. The suspect, Andy Rivera, a 43 year old male from Kearney, was placed under arrest. He was charged with receiving stolen property, burglary, theft, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and transported to the Essex County Jail.
 
On April 13, 2018 at 2:08 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle with tinted front windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 20 year old male driver from Newark for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 

On April 14, 2018 at 8:12 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 19 year old male driver from Clifton for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On April 19, 2018 at 12:44 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation revealed that the driver, a 61 year old male from West Orange, had a suspended license and an outstanding traffic warrant. He was arrested processed and released with a summons after posting the required bail.
 
            On April 20, 2018 at 11:36 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella responded to the CVS at 387 Pompton Avenue on a report of a male who was panhandling. Ptl. Cassella located the subject, a 54 year old male from West Orange. He was subsequently arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant from the Cedar Grove Municipal Court. He was later released on his own recognizance.
 
            On April 20, 2018 at 10:02 p.m., officers responded to a Crestmont Road address for an activated burglar alarm. Responding officers discovered that unknown actor(s) had forced entry into the residence through a rear door. The detective bureau responded and is investigating the burglary.
 
            On April 21, 2018 at 3:03 a.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle travelling at an extremely slow rate of speed along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 29 year old male operator from Montclair for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 21, 2018 at 11:21 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 28 year old male driver from Belleville for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On April 21, 2018 at 11:49 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle with tinted windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old female driver from Millville for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On April 21, 2018 at 2:11 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after observing smoke coming from the right front tire as it was being operated along East Bradford Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 51 year old male driver from West Orange for driving while intoxicated. The investigation revealed that the driver had been involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash in Montclair. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On April 21, 2018 at 8:12 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on Sweetwood Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 26 year old male driver from Bloomfield for possession of oxycodone without a prescription. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On April 29, 2018 at 12:46 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old male driver from East Orange for possession of marijuana. Officers discovered three 500 mg vials of THC oil (Tetrahydrocannabinol) inside the vehicle along with an open container of alcohol. The driver was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 29, 2018 at 12:59 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation on West Bradford Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 56 year old male driver from Verona for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
