            On April 24, 2017 at 10:49 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle operator, a 39 year old male out of Montclair, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that he had an outstanding traffic warrant from Verona Municipal Court. He was issued a summons to appear in municipal court and released after posting the required bail.
 
            On April 25, 2017 at 12:46 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator, a 22 year old male out of Paterson, was subsequently arrested after an investigation revealed that he was in possession of CDS (marijuana) as well as drug paraphernalia. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 27, 2017 at 4:30 p.m., Ptl. Robert Hectus stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a cell phone while driving. The vehicle operator, a 61 year old male out of Wayne, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 27, 2017 at 9:28 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a cell phone while driving. The vehicle operator, a 63 year old female out of Totowa, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that her driving privileges were suspended. She was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 29, 2017 at 2:12 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for being operated with dark tinted windows and an expired temporary registration. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 20 year old male operator out of Bayonne for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 29, 2017 at 5:55 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was determined that the vehicle operator, a 33 year old male out of Wilkes Barre, PA,  was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 29, 2017 at 6:24 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was determined that the vehicle operator, a 30 year old male out of Little Falls, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On April 30, 2017 at 2:14 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was determined that the vehicle operator, a 37 year old male out of Belleville, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On May 1, 2017 at 4:58 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator, a 40 year old male out of Jersey City, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 2, 2017 at 3:35 a.m., Lt. Erik Hansson checked on a male walking in the traffic lane along Pompton Avenue. It was determined that the 58 year old male out of Newark had been reported missing by his family earlier in the day. He was taken into protective custody and reunited with his family.
 
            On May 2, 2017 at 7:44 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator, a 36 year old female out of Paterson was subsequently arrested after it was determined that her driving privileges were suspended. She was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 3, 2017 at 11:07 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle being operated with a suspended registration. The vehicle operator, a 27 year old female out of East Orange, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that her driving privileges were suspended. She was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 3, 2017 at 11:51 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator, a 28 year old male out of West Orange, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 4, 2017 at 4:10 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. The vehicle operator, a 29 year old male out of Montclair, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 4, 2017 at 5:26 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas checked on the operator of a vehicle who appeared to be asleep behind the wheel in the Foodtown parking lot. The operator, a 63 year old male out of Millburn, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that he was operating a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or drugs. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 5, 2017 at 12:05 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator, a 27 year old male out of Paterson, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that he was in possession of CDS (marijuana). He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 5, 2017 at 5:46 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle operator, a 27 year old male out of Newark, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 6, 2017 at 2:42 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation. . The vehicle operator, a 24 year old male out of Newark, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 6, at 2:26 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle after observing that an occupant was not wearing a seatbelt. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 28 year old passenger for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 6, 2017 at 3:05 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for multiple equipment violations. The vehicle operator, a 22 year old male out of West Orange, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 6, 2017 at 9:05 p.m., Officers responded the CVS at 387 Pompton Avenue for a reported shoplifting. Upon arrival they located the suspect attempting to enter an SUV in the fire zone in front of the store. A 35 year old female out of Verona was subsequently arrested for shoplifting. A 35 year old male occupant of the vehicle was also arrested on outstanding warrant from Little Falls Municipal Court. Both were later released with summonses to appear in court.
 
            On May 7, 2017 at 11:01 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle for an improper turn. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle operator, a 24 year old male out of Orange, for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 8, 2017 at 12:45 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner. It was subsequently determined that the 29 year old male operator out of Hackettstown, was driving a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or drugs. He was later released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On May 9, 2017 at 4:18 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. The vehicle operator, a 65 year old male out of Montclair, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 9, 2017 at 9:21 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. It was determined that the vehicle operator, a 30 year old male out of Montclair, was wanted on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Carteret. He was placed under arrest and turned over to Carteret Police.
 
            On May 10, 2017 at 1:59 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. It was subsequently determined that the operator was driving while intoxicated. He was also found to be in possession of CDS (LSD). He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 10, 2017 at 10:43 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle that he observed speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 24 year old female passenger for possession of CDS (marijuana). She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 11, 2017 at 4:26 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck took a fraud report from a township resident. The resident reported receiving a call from a person representing the IRS who claimed that he had not paid his taxes. The victim supplied his social security number to the caller and believes the call was part of a scam. The victim was advised to monitor his credit reports and bank accounts.
 
            On May 12, 2017 at 12:06 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume checked on a suspicious person walking along Pompton Avenue. The subject appeared to be under the influence of CDS. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 21 year old man out of Woodland Park for possession of CDS (Crystal Meth, Methamphetamine). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 14, 2017 at 1:46 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious person observed looking into parked vehicles on Tower Drive. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 43 year old male out of Cedar Grove. It was determined that he was a wanted person by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of CDS (Suboxone) and a hypodermic syringe. He was processed and turned over to Essex County Sheriff’s Officers.

            On May 15, 2017 at 4:18 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. The vehicle operator, a 20 year old male out of Colonia, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 15, 2017 at 9:21 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck investigated a burglary and theft at Arbor Glen Nursing Center. An employee reported that a resident was observed in a restricted area taking another employees purse. The resident was interviewed and admitted to the theft. The 44 year old female was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in Superior Court.   
 
            On May 17, 2017 at 4:22 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation.  The vehicle operator, a 34 year old male out of Bloomfield, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 18, 2017 at 1:33 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a handheld cellular phone while driving. The vehicle operator, a 22 year old female out of Paterson, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that her driving privileges were suspended. She was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 19, 2017 at 11:54 a.m., detectives investigated a burglary to a Lynwood Road residence. A neighbor reported seeing a black male suspect exit the residence carrying a pillow case. He entered a vehicle described as a blue Honda SUV and fled the area. The incident remains under investigation. Any resident observing suspicious activity should immediately contact the police.
 
            On May 19, 2017 at 9:23 p.m., patrol officers responded to a suspicious incident outside Sonny’s Yogurt in the Foodtown Plaza. A male suspect allegedly asked three female juveniles to come see a puppy inside his parked car. They refused and he smiled at them as he drove away. Surveillance video was obtained. The detective bureau investigated the incident and identified the operator of the vehicle. He was interviewed and it was determined to be a miscommunication between the subject and the juveniles. No criminality was involved.
 
            On May 19, 2017 at 11:12 p.m., Detectives investigated a burglary to a Yorkshire Drive residence. The homeowner returned and found that the front door to the residence had been forced open. The burglary occurred sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The detective bureau is investigating.
 
            On May 20, 2017 at 4:57 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra took a report of a theft of an iPad. The victim reported that she accidently left her iPad behind while visiting her father at Arbor Glen Nursing Center. The iPad was last seen on her father’s bed. She returned to retrieve it and it was gone.
 
            On May 21, 2017 at 12:12 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle after a random check on his mobile data terminal revealed that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The vehicle operator, a 24 year old male out of Little Falls, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On May 22, 2017 at 6:39 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. The vehicle operator, a 33 year old male out of New York, NY, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 22, 2017 at 7:44 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 35 year old male operator out of Montclair for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 23, 2017 at 2:47 p.m., Ptl. Kristian Schneider stopped a vehicle that was reported to be driving erratically. The vehicle operator, a 21 year old male out of Lincoln Park, was subsequently arrested after it was determined that his driving privileges were suspended. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 24, 2017 at 11:41a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check on his MDT revealed that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The vehicle operator, a 34 year old male out of Wayne, was subsequently arrested and later released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 25, 2017 at 11:47 a.m., Ptl. Michael Grasso stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was subsequently determined that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The 28 year old male operator out of Newark was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 26, 2017 at 3:33 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an observed equipment violation. It was subsequently determined that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The 36 year old male operator out of Elizabeth was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 26, 2017 at 5:51 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an observed equipment violation. It was subsequently determined that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The 21 year old female operator out of Orange was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 26, 2017 at 11:11 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check on his MDT revealed that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The vehicle operator, a 31 year old female out of Milford, was subsequently arrested and later released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 26, 2017 at 11:46 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation revealed that a 39 year old male passenger out of Cedar Grove was wanted by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department on outstanding criminal charges. He was arrested and transported to the Essex County Jail.
