            On May 30, 2017 at 5:06 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. The vehicle operator, a 26 year old male out of Bloomfield, was subsequently arrested after he was found to be in possession of CDS (cocaine).  He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 30, 2017 at 8:48 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. The vehicle operator, a 36 year old male out of Union City, was arrested for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of CDS (cocaine). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.         
 
            On May 31, 2017 at 3:08 p.m., officers responded to a dispute at Canterbury Nursing Home. An investigation revealed that two employees had been involved in a physical altercation. One of the employees was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
            On May 31, 2017 at 11:35 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation revealed that the 53 year old male operator out of Pennsylvania was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On May 31, 2017 at 11:44 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation revealed that the 21 year old male operator out of Cedar Grove was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 1, 2017 at 5:31 p.m., officers responded to a reported shoplifting at the CVS store at 1041 Pompton Avenue. The actor had fled prior to police arrival. Surveillance video was obtained and the incident is under investigation.
 
            On June 1, 2017 at 9:20 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano investigated a motor vehicle crash on Montclair Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of one of the vehicle operators. A 36 year old female out of West Orange was arrested for possession of CDS (cocaine, heroin). She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 3, 2017 at 9:24 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an expired registration. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old female operator out of Bloomfield for possession of CDS (marijuana). She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
           
            On June 4, 2017 at 2:34 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 34 year old male operator out of Verona for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On June 7, 2017 at 4:16 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 38 year old male operator out of Somerville for driving with a suspended license.  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 7, 2017 at 6:43 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle after a random plate check on his MDT revealed that the operator had a suspended driver’s license. The 33 year old male out of East Orange was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 7, 2017 at 6:43 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was later determined that the 27 year old female out of Hoboken was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. She was arrested and released with a summons to appear in municipal.
 
            On June 7, 2017 at 7:35 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a cell phone while driving. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 27 year old female passenger out of Cedar Grove for possession of CDS (marijuana). She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 8, 2017 at 11:01 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle for an observed traffic violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 35 year old male operator out of Little Falls for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 9, 2017 at 2:15 a.m., Sgt. Jose Rodriguez stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of two passengers for possession of CDS (marijuana, LSD). Both were processed and released with summonses to appear in municipal court.  
 
            On June 9, 2017 at 8:04 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. It was later determined that the 22 year old female out of Bloomfield was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. She was arrested and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 10, 2017 at 12:45 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella checked on a disabled vehicle on Pompton Avenue and discovered CDS (cocaine, marijuana). Both occupants, a 28 year old male out of East Orange and a 29 year old female out of Montclair, were placed under arrest.  They were processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 10, 2017 at 10:17 p.m., patrol officers responded to the CVS at 387 Pompton Avenue for a reported shoplifting. Employees provided a description of the actors and the vehicle in which they fled the scene. Officers stopped the vehicle and the actors a short time later. A 29 year old female out Hillside was subsequently arrested. A 20 year old male out of Newark fled on foot from the vehicle. He was never located and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The female actor was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On June 13, 2017 at 2:32 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 36 year old male operator out of Montclair for driving with a suspended license.  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 13, 2017 at 5:38 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio investigated a motor vehicle crash. It was determined that the 44 year old female operator out of Rutherford was driving with a suspended license.  She was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 14, 2017 at 12:02 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 18 year old male operator out of Newark for driving with a suspended license.  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 14, 2017 at 4:20 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a cell phone while driving. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 32 year old male operator out of Newark for driving with a suspended license.  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 14, 2017 at 5:25 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle after observing that the operator was not wearing a seatbelt. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 57 year old male operator out of Pennsylvania for driving with a suspended license.  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 14, 2017 at 11:46 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 30 year old male operator out of Budd Lake for driving with a suspended license and suspended registration.  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 15, 2017 at 12:10 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas investigated a motor vehicle crash on Cedar Street. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 45 year old male operator out of Clifton for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 16, 2017 at 8:41 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 29 year old male operator out of Lake Hiawatha for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 16, 2017 at 8:08 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 33 year old male passenger out of East Orange for possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 17, 2017 at 4:58 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle travelling at an excessive speed along the roadway. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle operator for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 18, 2017 at 12:22 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle after observing the operator not wearing a seatbelt. The operator, a 20 year old male out of Cedar Grove, was arrested after he was found to be in possession of a false government document (NY driver’s license). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On June 19, 2017 Officers responded to an Evergreen Road address for a report of a motor vehicle theft. The resident reported that his 2015 BMW 550 was stolen sometime during the early morning hours. The detective bureau was able to track the vehicle to a Newark street with the assistance of BMW. Detectives were able to locate, recover and return the vehicle to the owner. They also investigated numerous auto burglaries nearby this theft. It is believed that the same actors were involved and that they were looking for key fobs left in the vehicles.
 
            On June 19, 2017 at 11:39 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle after a random plate check revealed that the registration was suspended. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of three occupants for possession of marijuana. They were processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 20, 2017 at 8:36 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers investigated a shoplifting at the CVS located at 387 Pompton Avenue. The actor had fled prior to his arrival. Surveillance video of the actor and a vehicle description were obtained. The incident remains under investigation.
 
            On June 20, 2017 at 2:30 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas investigated a report of a theft of wheels and tires from an apartment complex garage. The area was canvassed and persons of interest were interviewed. The wheels, valued at $10,000, were later recovered by Verona police at an apartment complex in their town.
 
            On June 21, 2017 at 9:14 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle after smelling the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle as it drove in front of him along the roadway. The operator, a 38 year old male out of Belleville, was subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 24, 2017 at 10:16 a.m., a Franklin Street resident reported a burglary to his vehicle. He left the vehicle unlocked in his driveway overnight. In the morning he discovered that someone had gone through the glove box.
 
            On June 24, 2017 at 7:21 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 26 year old operator out of Paterson for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 25, 2017 at 4:25 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for speeding on Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 38 year old operator out of Jersey City for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
