             On May 29, 2018 at 9:47 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella took a report of a burglary to a medical office on Pompton Avenue. An unknown actor had forced open the door to the office and removed cash and credit cards from a desk drawer. The incident is under investigation by the detective bureau.
 
            On June 1, 2018 at 11:41 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle with an inoperable brake lamp. It was determined that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The 30 year old female driver from New Haven, CT was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 2, 2018 at 12:49 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle with dark tinted front side windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 18 year old male driver from Bloomfield for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 2, 2018 at 12:40 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old female driver from Caldwell for possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 2, 2018 at 4:01 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle after observing that the operator was not wearing his seatbelt. It was determined that the driver, a 23 year old male from West Orange, was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 3, 2018 at 4:51 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella took a report of a fraud committed against a resident. The resident received a phone call from a person that identified himself as a PSE&G employee. He said she had not paid her PSE&G bill and owed them $492.10 or the electricity would be turned off. He convinced the victim to purchase MoneyPak cards from CVS to pay the outstanding balance and call him back with the card numbers for payment. The victim was defrauded $492.10. The incident remains under investigation.

            On June 14, 2018 at 12:13 a.m., Ptl. Nicole Witel stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the registration was suspended. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 23 year old male driver from Montclair for driving while suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On June 16, 2018 at 7:00 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle that did not have a valid inspection sticker displayed in the windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 35 year old male operator from Orange for possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
                                                                                                     
            On June 17, 2018 at 12:47 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch observed a suspicious person walking in the middle of the road in the intersection of Lafayette Drive and Cedar Ridge Drive. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 54 year old male from Newark for outstanding criminal warrants. He was turned over to Bloomfield Police on their warrant.

On June 18, 2018 at 4:41 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle after observing that a front seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt. It was later determined that the 23 year old male driver from Paterson was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 19, 2018 at 12:26 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo stopped a vehicle for failure to signal a lane change. It was later determined that the 40 year old male operator from Irvington was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On June 20, 2018 at 12:44 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield and an inoperable center brake lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 19 year old male driver from Little Falls for possession of a fraudulent driver’s license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On June 21, 2018 at 9:31 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle being operated with a broken tail lamp. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 26 year old male from Greenwood Lake, NY, for a criminal warrant from Bergen County. He was turned over to the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
 
On June 21, 2018 at 11:04 a.m., patrol officers responded to the Nicholas Markets Foodtown for a shoplifting reported by the store manager. The manager gave a detailed description of the actor. Ptl. Christopher Heck located and arrested the subject, a 40 year old male from East Orange, for shoplifting. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On June 22, 2018 at 9:32 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle after observing the operator using a handheld cell phone while driving. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old female driver from Newark, NJ for possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On June 23, 2018 at 1:23 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. It was later determined that the 32 year old female driver from Little Falls was driving with a suspended license. She was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
