                         On June 28, 2017 at 7:35 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 40 year old male operator out of Belleville for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
            On June 30, 2017 at 4:22 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 54 year old male operator out of Newark for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 1, 2017 at 11:07 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle after a random check on his mobile data terminal showed that the vehicle owner had a suspended driver’s license. The operator, a 53 year old male out of Union, was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 2, 2017 at 9:35 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck investigated a burglary to the Panther Park concession stand. Unknown actors entered the structure and removed numerous beverages. Earlier in the week unknown actors had damaged the block exterior of the building. Anyone with information about these incidents should contact the detective bureau. 
 
            On July 2, 2017 at 6:57 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 24 year old male operator out of Paterson. He was charged with possession of marijuana, hindering apprehension by providing false information to a law enforcement officer and driving without a license. He was processed and turned over to Paterson Police for an outstanding traffic warrant.
 
            On July 2, 2017 at 11:29 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for speeding along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 38 year old male operator out of Easton, PA for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On July 3, 2017 at 7:06 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for speeding along Ozone Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 19 year old male operator out of Verona for possession of a false government document (PA driver’s license). He was arrested, processed and released with summons to appear in Superior Court.
 
            On July 6, 2017 at 12:16 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch responded to the area of Lindsley Road and Center Avenue on a report of a person shooting a pellet gun off a front porch. The reporting party stated that the pellets were ricocheting off a tree and came close to striking a family member. Officers located the person responsible, a 65 year old male out of Cedar Grove. He was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was processed and transported to the county jail. 
 
            On July 6, 2017 at 10:40 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 38 year operator out of Roselle Park for driving with a suspended license. He was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 8, 2017 at 2:08 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Little Falls Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 32 year old male operator out of Little Falls for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 9, 2017 at 2:29 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle being operated with an expired registration. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 53 year old operator out of Livingston. He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On July 10, 2017 at 1:40 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 30 year old female operator out of Little Falls for driving while intoxicated. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 11, 2017 at 1:58 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle after a citizen reported that it was being operated in an erratic manner. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 36 year old male operator out of Montclair for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
 
            On July 11, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for an observed equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 36 year old male passenger out of Bayville for unlawful possession of prescription legend drugs. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 12, 2017 at 11:15 p.m., Ptl Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner along Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Cedar Grove for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 13, 2017 at 5:09 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation revealed that the 26 year old male operator out of East Orange was driving with a suspended license. It was also determined that he was wanted by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department on an assault charge. He was taken into custody, processed and transported to the Essex County Jail.
 
            On July 14, 2017 at 1:04 a.m., police received a call from Boonton Police reporting that they had recovered a vehicle possibly stolen from a Westland Road address. The resident had left the keys in the vehicle and did not realize it had been stolen. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
 
            On July 14, 2017 at 2:20 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 40 year old driver out of Bayonne for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 14, 2017 at 11:31 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passifiume stopped a vehicle displaying dark window tint. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 28 year old operator out of Sayreville        for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 15, 2017 at 11:17 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 37 year old operator out of West Orange for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 16, 2017 at 12:27 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male operator out of East Orange for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On July 17, 2017 at 7:44 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle that was being operated in an erratic manner. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 25 year old female operator out of Montclair for driving while suspended.
           
            On July 17, 2017 at 10:56 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 39 year old male operator out of Belleville for driving while suspended.
 
            On July 17, 2017 at 11:24 p.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check on his MDT showed that the operator had a suspended driver’s license. The operator, a 31 year old female out of Verona, was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 19, 2017 at 6:32 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Irvington for driving while suspended.
 
            On July 21, 2017 at 6:11 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle displaying dark window tint. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Newark for possession of marijuana and driving while suspended.
 
            On July 22, 2017 at 5:33 p.m., Police, Rescue Squad and Paramedics responded to a Suzanne Court address for a child found and the bottom of a pool. The child was blue and not breathing upon police arrival. Ptl. John Smigelsky, the first officer on scene, took over CPR that was being performed by family members. He was successful in clearing the child’s airway and the child began to breath. Cedar Grove Ambulance members and paramedics transported the child to Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
           
            On July 22, 2017 at 6:20 p.m., Ptl. John Smigelsky apprehended a shoplifter from the CVS at 387 Pompton Avenue. The 37 year old female from Cedar Grove was arrested processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 23, 2017 at 5:14 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation on Ridge Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 32 year old male operator out of Verona. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
