On July 1, 2019 at 3:52 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 40 year old male driver from Montclair for driving while suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 3, 2019 at 9:03 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 26 year old male operator from New York for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 4, 2019 at 12:12 a.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a motorized bicycle after observing operator not wearing a helmet. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 42 year old male operator from Cedar Grove for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On July 9, 2019 at 9:47 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle after observing that the operator was not wearing a seatbelt. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 40 year old male driver from Linden for driving while suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 10, 2019 at 7:46 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 47 year old female operator from Cedar Grove for driving with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 13, 2019 at 11:55 a.m., Ptl. Connor Grawehr stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check on his MDT revealed that the operator had a suspended license. . The driver, a 57 year old male from Lodi, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 13, 2019 at 3:53 p.m., officers conducting a random check of the Peckman River in Community Park found swimmers in the water in the area known as Devil’s Hole. An adult male from Harrison and an adult female from Kearny were both issued summons for violating the Township ordinance prohibiting swimming in the water. 
 
On July 13, 2019 at 7:42 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle with tinted windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old male driver from New York for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 14, 2019 at 1:46 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check on his MDT revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The driver, a 31 year old male operator from Andover, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 14, 2019 at 10:40 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the Mills Reservation parking area on Old Quarry Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 20 year old male driver from Bloomfield for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On July 17, 2019 at 10:54 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after observing that it did not have a front or rear license plate displayed. The driver, a 44 year old male from Glen Spey, New York, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded after it was determined to be unregistered and uninsured. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 19, 2019 at 1:36 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle after he observed the operator disregard and red traffic signal at the intersection of Pompton Avenue and East Bradford Avenue. The operator, a 51 year old female from Verona, was subsequently placed under arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 19, 2019 at 3:25 p.m. officers responded to the area of Jennie Court to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, the operator, a 20 year old male from East Orange, assaulted one of the officers. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in court.
 
On July 21, 2019 at 2:09 a.m. Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle with tinted windows. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 28 year old male driver from Linden for an outstanding traffic warrant. He was processed and released after posting the required bail.

On July 22, 2019 at 02:04 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo conducted a random license plate check on his MDT of a passing vehicle on Pompton Avenue. The response indicated that the vehicle had been reported stolen. He attempted to stop the vehicle and it accelerated away at a high rate of speed. He pursued the vehicle north on Pompton Avenue into Little Falls where the pursuit was terminated as the suspect vehicle passed the Willowbrook Mall. Little Falls Police continued the pursuit until the vehicle crashed at the Rt80/Rt46 interchange. Ptl. Grigolo, with the assistance of Little Falls and Fairfield Police Officers, located the operator as he attempted to flee on foot toward the mall. The driver, a 30 year old male from Newark, was arrested, processed, and transported to the Essex County Jail.
 
On July 24, 2019 at 12:37 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. It was determined that the operator, a 23 year old male from Belleville, was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On July 24, 2019 at 11:53 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle after a random plate check on his MDT revealed that the operator had a suspended license. The driver, a 26 year old male from Morris Plains, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
