            On July 24, 2017 at 11:59 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle for an observed violation.  A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 51 year old female operator out of Verona for driving while intoxicated.  She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.   
           
            On July 24, 2017 at 1:12 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 41 year old male operator out of Paterson for driving while suspended.
 
            On July 24, 2017 at 2:36 p.m., Ptl. Michael Grasso stopped a vehicle for displaying dark window tint. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 36 year old male operator out of Montclair for driving while suspended.
 
            On July 25, 2017 at 7:26 p.m., patrol officers responded to the CVS at 387 Pompton Avenue for a reported prescription fraud. After confirming that the prescription was in fact fraudulent a 34 year old female out Bronx, NY was subsequently arrested. A 27 year old male out of Hollis, NY that fled in a vehicle upon officer’s arrival was also subsequently stopped and arrested for possession of CDS.  Both were processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On July 28, 2017 at 12:49 a.m. Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle that was being operated in an erratic manner.  A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 46 year old female operator out of Verona for driving while intoxicated.  She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
           
            On July 28, 2017 at 12:46 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for being operated in an erratic manner.  A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Cliffside Park for Possession of CDS (marijuana). He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
            On July 28, 2017 at 8:18 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle for an observed violation.  A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Newark for Possession of CDS (marijuana) and driving while suspended.  An 18 year old passenger was also arrested for attempting to pass a fraudulent government ID.  Both were processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
            On July 29, 2017 at 10:45 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation.  A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 18 year old male operator out of Garfield for possession of CDS (marijuana).  He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.  
 
            On July 30, 2017 at 7:24 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle for displaying dark window tint. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 20 year old female operator out of East Orange on a traffic warrant out of Livingston.

            On July 31, 2017 at 7:09 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 57 year old male operator out of Clifton for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.         
           
            On July 31, 2017 at 11:10 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 41 year old male operator out of Paterson for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
           
            On August 1, 2017 at 5:26 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 29 year old male operator out of Montclair for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 2, 2017 at 01:51 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a motor vehicle displaying dark tinted windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Glasser for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 3, 2017, a Clover Court resident reported the theft of jewelry valued at $10, 000. The jewelry was stored in the attic near where work was recently performed on the HVAC system. The detective bureau is investigating the contractor who performed the work.
 
On August 2, 2017 at 3:35 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a motor vehicle displaying dark tinted windows. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 31 year old male operator out of Clifton for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 4, 2017 at 8:40 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of two occupants. The vehicle operator, a 20 year old male operator out of Belleville, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. A 20 year old male passenger also out of Belleville was arrested for providing false information to hinder his arrest for outstanding criminal and traffic warrants. Both were processed and released with summonses to appear in court. 
 
On August 2, 2017 at 01:51 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a motor vehicle for an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 37 year old male operator out of Brooklyn, NY for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 5, 2017 at 3:11 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 54 year old male operator out of Cedar Grove for driving with a suspended license. He was additionally charge with a criminal offense for operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended for a DWI offense. He was processed and transported to the Essex County Jail.
 
On August 5, 2017 at 7:35 a.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a motor vehicle for a speeding violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 21 year old male operator out of Newark for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 6, 2017 at 2:09 p.m. a Stevens Avenue resident reported a burglary and theft of a safe containing $30,000 from the basement of her residence. The victim stated that two days ago a white male came to her door identifying himself as an employee of the Cedar Grove water department. He told her there was a water problem in the area and he needed to access her basement inspect the meter. The incident is under investigation by the detective bureau.
 

On August 6, 2017 at 5:01 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a motor vehicle for an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 22 year old male operator out of Maryland for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On August 10, 2017 at 12:35 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a motor vehicle for an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 17 year old male operator out of Little Falls for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released to the custody of a parent.
 
On August 10, 2017 at 10:09 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Russomanno stopped a motor vehicle for a speeding violation on Fairview Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 32 year old female operator out of Upper Montclair for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 10, 2017 at 11:43 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella investigated two individuals outside of a vehicle parked in Mills Reservation on Old Quarry Road. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of two adult males out of Montclair for possession of marijuana. Both were processed and released with summonses to appear in court. 
 
On August 12, 2017 at 2:41 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a motor vehicle after a random plate check on his MDT revealed that the operator had a suspended driver’s license. The 27 year old male operator out of Paterson was arrested for driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 12, 2017 at 10:05 p.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Fairview Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male operator out of Dumont for driving with a suspended license. He was additionally charged with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

            On August 11, 2017 at 3:35 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck took a fraud report from a resident. The resident reported that he received a phone call from an unknown person stating that $2000 was electronically deposited is his checking account. He was told to purchase iTunes gift cards to be sent to a needy foreign country. He complied and then provided the PIN numbers on the cards to the caller. The money was later electronically transferred out of his account and he was defrauded of $2000. The incident is under investigation. 
             
            On August 12, 2017 at 2:41 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson conducted at random plate check on his MDT of a vehicle stopped at a red traffic signal. The response indicated that the operator had a suspended driver’s license.  The operator, a 27 year old male out of Paterson, was subsequently stopped and arrested for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 12, 2017 at 10:05 a.m., Ptl. Justin Westra stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation on Fairview Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male operator out of Dumont for driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 14, 2017 at 12:02 a.m., Patrol Officers Dominick Buscio and Christopher Lynch investigated a suspicious vehicle in the CVS parking lot a 387 Pompton Avenue. The investigation revealed that a 28 year old female passenger out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was wanted by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department for a drug charge. She was arrested and turned over to Passaic County Sheriff’s Officers.
 
            On August 14, 2017 at 4:15 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation reveal that the 37 year old male operator out of Bronx, NY was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 14, 2017 at 6:03 p.m., Ptl Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old male operator out of Newark for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 14, 2017 at 11:55 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after he observed the operator using a hand held cell phone. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 26 year old female out of Miami Florida for possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 16, 2017 at 5:56 a.m., Patrol officers responded to a report of a theft of a motor vehicle from a residence on The Fairway. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway with the keys inside of it during the overnight hours. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark.
 
            On August 16, 2017 at 12:14 p.m., Patrol officers investigated a suspicious vehicle, a 2005 Dodge, parked on The Glen. It was determined that the vehicle had been stolen in Elizabeth and left abandoned on The Glen. It was impounded and later processed by the New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Unit.
 
            On August 17, 2017 at 12:21 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a motor vehicle for an observed equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 25 year old male operator out of Verona for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 17, 2017 at 10:04 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 48 year old male operator out of Haledon for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 18, 2017 at 11:08 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for speeding on Pompton Avenue. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 28 year old male operator out of Wayne for driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 19, 2017 at 1:51 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 41 year old male operator out of Nutley for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
            On August 19, 2017 at 7:55 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 27 year old male operator from Linden for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 

            On August 20, 2017 at 12:25 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 24 year old female operator out of Paterson for driving with a suspended license and outstanding traffic warrants. She was also charged with hindering her apprehension by providing false information to a law enforcement officer. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On August 21, 2017 at 12:22 a.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 26 year old male operator out of Paterson for driving with a suspended license. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 21, 2017 at 12:34 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle for speeding along Ridge Road. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 46 year old male operator out of Verona for driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 21, 2017 at 5:57 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio investigated a motor vehicle crash on Pompton Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 67 year old male out of Cedar Grove for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 21, 2017 at 9:12 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume investigated a group of individuals standing in the roadway on Crestmont Road. The investigation resulted with three juveniles taken into custody for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The incident was turned over to the department’s juvenile officer.   
 
On August 22, 2017 at 2:11 p.m., Ptl. Michael Grasso investigated the odor of burnt marijuana coming from a group of approximately 20 individuals in the area of Devil’s Hole. The investigation resulted with three male juveniles taken into custody for possession of marijuana. The matter was turned over to the juvenile officer.
 
On August 22, 2017 at 4:20 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio took a report of a burglary and theft from a garage at the Cedar Grove Garden Apartment complex. The victim reported that tools and camera equipment valued at $2000 was taken from the garage. The detective bureau is investigating.
 
On August 23, 2017 at 10:49 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the 20 year old female operator out of Lincroft for possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On April 24, 2017 at 2:28 a.m., Ptl. Kyle Vergano stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The operator, a 30 year old male out of Paterson, was arrested after it was determined that his license was suspended. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 24, 2017 at 9:28 p.m., Ptl. Dominic Buscio stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of an 18 year old male passenger out of Kearny for distribution and possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in Superior Court.
On August 25, 2017 at 11:35 a.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck stopped a vehicle for an observed violation. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 38 year old male passenger out of Bloomingdale on an outstanding warrant from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department. He was turned over to Passaic County Sheriff’s Officers.
 
On August 26, 2017 at 4:28 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle travelling on Pompton Avenue after detecting a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The stop resulted in the arrest of the 24 year old male operator out of Little Falls for possession of marijuana. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
