On August 12, 2019 at 4:28 p.m., Ptl. Nicole Witel stopped a vehicle for displaying a fraudulent inspection decal. It was then determined that the 37 year old male driver from East Orange was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 13, 2019 at 9:55 p.m., Ptl. Anthony Grigolo responded to the CVS located at 387 Pompton Avenue on a report of a customer who attempted to pass a $100 counterfeit bill. An employee provided a description of the actor who had fled the store. The subject was located in the parking lot as he attempted to enter a waiting vehicle. After an investigation, the 22 year old male from Bogota was taken into custody. He was charged with forgery and hindering his apprehension. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in Superior Court.
 
On August 15, 2019 at 1:50 p.m., police and fire personnel responded to New Kitchen Restaurant located at 8 Bowden Road for a fire. The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported. The fire originated in the cooking area and extended into the exhaust system leading to the roof. New Kitchen Restaurant and Lucy Cleaners sustained smoke and fire damage.

On August 20, 2019 at 1:59 a.m., Sgt. Joseph Russomanno investigated a suspicious vehicle on Evergreen Place. He noticed that the operator turned onto the street and then turned off the vehicle’s lamps. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the 32 year old male operator for driving with a suspended license. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 20, 2019 at 8:20 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after a random plate check revealed that the operator had a suspended. The driver, a 34 year old male from Elizabeth, was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 23, 2019 at 9:23 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle with an obstructed windshield. The driver, a 23 year old male from East Orange, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 24, 2019 at 1:42 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Lynch stopped a vehicle with tinted front windows. The driver, a 27 year old male from Cliffside Park, was arrested after it was determined that he was driving with a suspended license. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court
 
On August 24, 2019 at 3:41 p.m., Ptl. Dominick Buscio investigated a motor vehicle crash on Pompton Avenue. The investigation revealed that one of the involved drivers, a 38 year old female from Union, was driving with a suspended license and suspended registration. He was arrested and his vehicle was impounded. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 26, 2019 at 8:42 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle with tinted front windows. The driver, a 41 year old male from Paterson, was arrested after it was determined that he was driving with a suspended license. He was processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
