August 26, 2019 – September 1, 2019
 
On August 31, 2019 at 12:45 a.m., Ptl. Alan Rock stopped a vehicle for failing to maintain a lane and failure to signal a turn. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the 59 year old male operator from Ho-Ho-Kus for driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded. He was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On August 31, 2019 at 3:03 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Ligas took a report a package stolen from the front doorstep of a Winding Way residence. The homeowner confirmed that UPS delivered the package while he was away. The incident remains under investigation.

On September 3, 2019 at 2:19 p.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the registration was suspended. It was then determined that the operator, a 37 year old male from Butler, was driving with a suspended license.  His vehicle was impounded and he was arrested. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
 
On September 5, 2019 at 6:59 p.m., Ptl. Alan Rock stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the registration was suspended. It was then determined that the operator, a 40 year old male from West Orange, was driving with a suspended license.  His vehicle was impounded and he was arrested. He was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On September 7, 2019 at 6:59 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume stopped a vehicle for an obstructed windshield. It was determined that the operator, a 52 year old male from Cedar Grove, was driving with a suspended license.  He also had an outstanding warrant from Irvington Police. He was placed under arrested for driving while suspended and later transported to Irvington Police Department for the outstanding warrant.
 
On September 7, 2019 at 4:38 p.m., Sgt. Jason Wolfstirn stopped a vehicle after a random license plate check revealed that the registration displayed belonged to a different vehicle. It was then determined that the operator, 21 year old male from East Orange, was driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was also impounded after it was determined to be unregistered and uninsured. The operator was later released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On September 9, 2019 at 5:11 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle displaying an expired inspection decal. It was then determined that the operator, a 24 year old female from Cedar Grove, was driving with a suspended license. She was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On September 10, 2019 at 6:59 p.m., Ptl. Connor Grawehr stopped a vehicle for speeding in the area of Pompton Avenue and Harper Terrace. As he approached the vehicle it accelerated away onto Harper Terrace. The vehicle crashed a short distance away and two occupants fled from the scene. A 13 year old male from Camden was apprehended in the rear yard of residence on Harper Terrace. He was charged with numerous offenses and transported to the Essex County Family Courthouse where he was turned over to court officers.
 
On September 10, 2019 at 6:59 p.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson responded to a Mountain Ridge Drive address for a burglary to a vehicle. The vehicle had been left unlocked in the driveway. The victim reported that a credit card was stolen from his wallet which was left in the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
 
On September 12, 2019 at 9:01 a.m., Ptl. Raymond Cassella stopped a vehicle displaying an expired inspection decal. A subsequent investigation revealed that the operators driving privileges were suspended. The driver, a 41 year old female from Montclair, was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On September 13, 2019 at 9:45 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle displaying a fraudulent inspection decal. . It was then determined that the operator, a 45 year old female from Belleville, was driving with a suspended license.  She was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
 
On September 15, 2019 at 11:28 a.m., Ptl. Anthony Cardona stopped a vehicle displaying an expired inspection decal. . It was then determined that the operator, a 36 year old male from Woodland Park, was driving with a suspended license.  He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
